No Picture or Sound on Startup

Although I am currently running on 3.9.2 this is also the case with 3.9.4.

 

When I startup DVBViewer with the last channel used there is never a picture or sound. Changing to other popular channels still gives no picture or sound. It is only when I open certain of the minor channels does the picture and sound start up and I can then move to any of the channels to continue my viewing.

 

This seems to affect recordings with the record service as all I get with timer recordings is an empty file. The recording service is then stopped and has to be started manually. In order to record programs on timer I have to have DVBViewer running at the time when the recording is scheduled.

 

I am running Vista with Service Pack 1 on an Intel® Core2 Quad CPU Q6600 @ 2.40 GHz. The board that I am using is a Hauppauge WinTV 88x DVB-T Tuner/Demod.
