llatem
Hi, Am using DVBViewer with a DE FloppyDTV/C (with AlphaCrypt) on Vista SP1. Support file for FloppyDTV is in support.zip as firedtv.txt. DVBViewer crashes after a while with the following error, almost all the time while watching HD channel; Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: DVBViewer.exe Application Version: 3.9.4.0 Application Timestamp: 2a425e19 Fault Module Name: atiumdva.dll Fault Module Version: 7.14.10.193 Fault Module Timestamp: 486d92f4 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00015f80 OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.256.1 Locale ID: 1033 Additional Information 1: fd00 Additional Information 2: ea6f5fe8924aaa756324d57f87834160 Additional Information 3: fd00 Additional Information 4: ea6f5fe8924aaa756324d57f87834160 Read our privacy statement: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=501...mp;clcid=0x0409 Sometimes DVBViewer keeps crashing when you try to restart it directly, with the same error. Am using integrated GFXcard from Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H (rev.1.0) with ATI 8.7 drivers (8.6 drivers also gave these errors). Hopefully this can be solved support.zip Edited August 10, 2008 by llatem Quote Link to comment

Lars_MQ
The fireTV viewer uses DVBVewer technologie but it is NOT the DVBViewer. the frontend of the Pro is completly dfferent. Quote Link to comment

I know its not newer then DVBViewer, but somehow find it strange that FireDTV viewer hasn't (yet) crashed with the same error... I would kinda expect that. llatem
disable hardware acceleration.is DVBViewer then stable? Is this an option in DVBViewer? Or do you mean the one in PowerDVD? Quote Link to comment
Tjod
It is a option from the Power DVD Decoder (CyberLink). But it is a per Program setting so you have to set in the DVBViewer while play back via View > Filters > CyberLink > DxVA. Quote Link to comment
llatem
... View > Filters > CyberLink > DxVA. Hmmm, strange, DxVA option was not active but in PowerDVD hardware acceleration is active. Have activated DxVA and will now wait and see what happens Quote Link to comment
llatem
So far so good, with DXvA setting enabled. After 3hrs playback of a HD channel still no crashes of DVBViewer, only once the picture gut stuck in a 1-2 second loop while audio continued properly, switching channels solved that.
