Problem setting up DVBserver/Client

Hi i have some problem setting DVBServer/Client.

I believe im pretty close to get it working.

Problem i think im connected to the server but i dont get pictures. So far only tested on FTA.

When starting DVBViewer on client i get a warning saying no hardware.

 

Server setup:

Networkmenu of DVBserver:

Streamtype=Unicast

Controlserver:

Interface=192.168.0.6 (IP of server)

Port=4012

Unicast:

Interface=192.168.0.6

max user=4

Port=2345

Buffercount=100

Max buffer=5

Autodiscovery:

Activate Autodiscovery=checked

Port=600

 

Client Setup

DVBserver:

Adress=192.168.0.6

Port=4012

DVB Unicast:

Interface=192.168.0.10 (IP of client)

Adress=192.168.0.6

Port=2345

Buffers=100

Discovery port=600 (able to autodiscover)

 

On the server i can see the ip of the client and when i press send and look on the general tab then i can see some network trafik but i dont get any picture.

How did you setup the network device on the client?

 

You need to set it up as if it is a real hardware. This means the tunertype has to be the same as the tunertype of the DVB-Hardware in the server, "has CI" has to be checked if the DVB Hardware supports it and so on...

hmm tuner type on client?

On client i have "3 units listed" as in the attached image (IPTV, Unicast & Multicast).

But no Skystar 2 USB device?

 

Does it influence if DVBViewer is running on server PC at the same time the DVBserver is running?

You need to configure the unicast devices on the client with the same values like the skystar 2 usb device on the server.

 

dvbserver and DVBViewer can run at the same time on the server, but of course only one application can use the dvb hardware at one time, so DVBViewer should not view/record a channel while the client tries to use the dvbserver. If you want to view the same channel on both PCs, you should use the netstreaming plugin instead of the dvbserver.
