FrankRizzo
Guys, I REALLY need an answer to this question, and figure you guys might be the ones to ask! When a broadcaster moves a stream from 1 transponder to another, they obviously have to send a msg to their IRDs to tell it that "Channel A" has moved to a new place. Is this msg a part of the DVB spec? Either way, if you can, please point me to info on this event. Thanks! Frank Quote Link to comment
Griga
Is this msg a part of the DVB spec? No, as far as I know. Here in Germany broadcasters usually insert an information in the TV picture saying that the transponder/frequency will change and a re-scan will be required. Quote Link to comment
Moses
the dvb-c set-top-box from my cable company checks the NIT on start up and if there is a change in the NIT it performs a scan. Quote Link to comment
