show available recording space/time left when scheduling a recording

Would it be possible to have DVBViewer display available recording space in gigabytes when scheduling a recording? Or even better yet, an estimate of available recording time would super with a warning if the program you scheduled will not fit onto your hard drive. I understand that an estimate of recording time might be difficult to calculate because it would require taking into account the bitrate (HD channel or not?) and what is recorded (subtitles, teletext, all audiochannels, type of audio etc.) but if you could make this into reality it would help a lot. At the moment you are pretty blind when scheduling a recording and not knowing if there is enough hard disk space or not.
