Huigie
I installed PowerDVD 8, deleted the PowerDVD 7 folder and AC3 no longer worked(Discovery HD). In settings/options/directx the PDVD8 codec is selected but there is no sound. In menu "View" I checked the audio codec, it show a greyed out generic codec. I copied the PDVD 7 folder back from a backup disk and AC3 is working again. Even though the PDVD8 codec is selected in the DirectX menu, the filter shows that the PDVD7 filter is used. Used Filtermanager to delete all traces of the PowerDVD7 codec and tried again, no luck. Had to re-register the codec from the PDVD7 folder to get AC3 working again. What am I missing, how can I force it use the PDVD8 filter? support.zip Quote Link to comment
