Springveldt Posted December 5, 2008 Share Posted December 5, 2008 Hi, I'm have a little trouble with DVBServer. The strange problem is that I can't connect to it locally but can over my LAN. The local DVBViewer will only register as a Control Client, not a Stream Client. I've turned off all other hardware in DVBViewer apart from Unicast. Can anyone give me a clue to what is going on? The funny thing is, it used to work but it just suddenly stopped! The one that has connected (HTPC1) actually stopped connecting as a Streaming Client as well so to fix that I had to use the NetStreaming plugin of DVBViewer on my server (stream as unicast) and the client picked that up. After stopping the NetStreaming plugin I started the DVBServer again and all is good again on the client pc. Oh, and if I change DVBServer to stream as multicast I can't change the channel from the client PC but unicast allows me to change channels. I've got a bog standard setup, SkyStar2 and UK Sky (no viewing card, just picking up the FTA channels as I had a spare Sky connection in my office) Quote Link to comment
