Devastation
I had both plugins, working within Vista Administration mode, it reconises the remote because the commands pop up and the taskbar menu icon goes red, does nothing within DVBViewer. This is under xpSP3 but I hope (but dont know) its same (or near) under vista. EventGhost Window on the right side make sure that in configuration tree-->autostart--> Plugin:DVBViewer is there. If not seen there right click autostart and choose "add Plugin". Select DVBViewer under folder Program control. (if the plugin is first selected there will be question to insert all commands for DVB-V, say yes) If Plugin is there make sure its not disabled (red cross in icon) if disabled --> right click--> disable Item. under context folder you should have a folder for DVBViewer commands. If not create a folder "DVBViewer". Right click the folder, choose "add macro" and choose under DVBViewer the command you wish. Do so for every command you need (better have said yes at first enabling DVB-V Plugin ) If folder is there make sure its not disabled (red cross in icon) if disabled..... If your commands are there you best rightclick a command (best channel1 or so) and klick "execute item". If it works in DVB-V we can go further. If not save work done by now (see last sentence). Close EG and DVB-V (make sure EG is closed and not only minimized to tray). Start DVB-V then EG. Not working? Close both start EG and than DVB-V. Not working? Give me infos from left side of EG window. Next step is to link the IRevents to the DVB-V macros. Now press on your remote a key (start with 1 I assume) so on the left window of EG there will be shown a remote event (blizz icon). with your mouse you drag the event to the macro "channel 1" and let fall. Now there should in channel 1 be shown the IREvent (mostly a long number) and under that the DVB-V command for channel 1. Now pressing Remote ->1 should have effekt on DVB-V. Make so for every command you need/whish/have a remote key. And its no bad idea to save any 5 - 10 commands added. Go File-->Save as --> choose your DVB-V programm folder, name it DVByourname.xml. Edit: not all commands from the DVB-V 4.0 are avaible in the EG Plugin. If all is running smoothly and you need some commands that are not so we will go further (but not before) Edited January 10, 2009 by Devastation Quote Link to comment

Devastation
I am currently using eventhgost+ DVBViewer plugin. Can you please explain how to add missing dvb 4 commands (for example "OSD-subtitle list")? Here we go: Make savings of your files and configuration!!!! 1. you need an python editor --> see http://www.python.org/ 2. you install it I am no programmer. I installed python 2.6 and can only describe how it worked there. If you use another editor...... 3. Start: Python --> IDLE (Python GUI) Go to File --> Open --> and open the __init.py__ that you find in the DVBViewer folder of the EventGhost plugins. Best is to use a copy and save the original In the opened file you found under ACTIONS the list with the commands for the DVBViewer. I have added the needed new commands in order of the action ID. you can also add id at first or last of the commands. Here you find the Action IDs for DVBViewer. If you wish for own commands with a command.vbs you should add some commands 30500 and higher. The commands you add in the same way like the ones allready there. Then save the __init.py__ Delete the other file so that there is only the __init.py__ in the folder. Then start EventGhost. Now you should find the new commands ready to add. If problems maybe you must make all commands new. best wishes Devastation Quote Link to comment

Devastation
Can you please explain how to add missing dvb 4 commands (for example "OSD-subtitle list")? Bring the topic up to date: There is a new Version 0.3.7.r965 from EventGhost avaible with a new DVBViewer Plugin Version 2.0.945 integrated. Thanks to the new plugin there is no longer need to add missing DVBViewer commands to the plugin. The plugin has the great new command Send action to DVBViewer. This command can send every ActionID you want to send them. So you only add this makro and enter the desired ActionID. There are some other great advances in the new plugin. Quote Link to comment
