majstang
Hi! I´m running two instances of DVBViewer and sometimes one of them cant be started (nothing happens at all when doubleclicking the exe). Checking out the taskmanager, trying to close previous opened and crashed exe-files, show no DVBViewer.exe that has stopped working. Sometimes this procedure works for other software that has stopped working, but then you will always find the exe and are abled to close it through taskmanager. I had this issue with an old windows live mail version. Couldnt start up windows live mail cuz an another crashed wlmail.exe blocked me from starting the program. Only way to make the stopped DVBViewer instance to work again Im forced to reboot PC (Windows XP). I hibernate frequently and reboot the PC once a week. This issue often shows the last days before its time to reboot. I think this issue showed itself when I started using DVBServer and autoloading that on start-up. Is this a know issue? Does anybody else suffer from the same issue? //Majstang Edited March 18, 2009 by majstang Quote Link to comment
Tjod
If you use two DVBViewer instances thy need different configuration folders. http://www.DVBViewer.info/forum/index.php?...st&p=236384 The other thig is, if one of the DVBViewer instances is crashed. You have to clos all DVBViewer relatet programms (DVBViewer ..., DVB Server, TransEdit and Recordingservice) before you can start the crashed instances again. Quote Link to comment

Yes, theres no way to run two instances in the same folder...I know this and therefor have two separate folders. Will try closing all DVBViewer related stuff next time it crashes and see if that does the trick. Thanks, man! Quote Link to comment

Yes, it works to close DVBSever to restart crashed DVBViewer instance, BUT why does it crash only when I run DVBServer together with my two DVBViewer instances and not when i run my DVBViewer instances alone? DVBServer seem to be the instigator making DVBViewer crash. A know issue maybe? Quote Link to comment
