janlah Posted April 14, 2009 Share Posted April 14, 2009 Hi! I'm not sure, if I understand this, but I need only DVBViewer and something to take care of my timers. Viewer works fine, but the Recording service seems to have it's own life. I'm not sure, if I should just use the scheduler, or use this Recording Service. I'm not quite understanding the difference from user point-of-view. I understand, that this works as a windows service, but what does this affect in use? (Sorry, customer for 6 months, still newbie) Anyways, I just now installed all the newest versions of both on my WinXP SP3. The Service will not change it's setting, no matter where I try to change them - from web-interface or tray-icon->configure. It remembers just the default setting of the recording folder and and file-settings. No matter what I do, it records in "my videos" in .mpg. Link to comment
