Watching *.ts file with other media player (inc subtitles)

Hi Gents,

I'm doing pretty extensive recordings with DVBViewer 4.0.

I usually use DVBViewer to watch recordings, but in some instances, I'd like to watch the *.ts files I recorded (with 2 audio streams and 1 subtitle stream) with another media player. (most of the time on another PC, or while DVBViewer is working on main PC recording something else).

I tried Media Player Classic, which gives me access to the audio streams (with the internal splitter or with Haali splitter), but no way to get to the subtitles stream. I tried the VSFilter ON in the Haali menu, no change. I downloaded and installed DirectVobSub, which does not seem to be used/loaded by MPC.

Does anyone know how to make the subtitles work with Media Player Classic ? (with the *.ts "on the fly", in clear without going through the hassle of extracting the *.srt file and synchronising it)

Is there another player, that works best ? (VLC, other ?)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks Lars for the quick answer.

Unfortunately, I can't get VLC to actually display the teletext stream from the *.ts file

- I can switch from english audio to french audio and vice versa (same as MPC)

- The subtitle teletext stream is recognized by VLC (it is shown in the subtitle menu), but I can't succeed in displaying the content during the play... I loaded the right *.ttf font file for Windows, but nothing.

I guess I'll have to dig into the VLC forum... or dramatically improve my English to do without subtitles... ;)

Thx

@Lars, I have not tried the DVB subs yet... just struggling with the teletext right now ;)

@Derrick, can you share with us the settings for the teletext display ? I mean the font, size, etc and other set up for VLC ? (in the advanced folder I guess : Preferences > Video > Subtitles / OSD ??? )

Thx guys
