ATI 780G & NVIDIA 8200

Hi everybody,

I had Ati 780G motherboard which was quite good with SS HD2 to watch MPEG2, H264, MKV etc.

Because of specific HDMI issue with my LCD TV I have changed to Nvidia 8200.

My common configuration; Vista 32 SP1, DVBViewer 4.1.1, Cyberlink Power Dvd Codec.

I were used EVR without any problem with ATI but with Nvidia always freezing with EVR and VMR9, VMR7.

Freezing is minimal only in YUV render mode.

All software, drivers, bios are updated but no change.

What Should I do ?

have you checked in

Settings -> Options -> DirectX -> VMR Options

if it helps if the VMR Fix is checked?

Yes of course VMR fix is checked.

I am correcting wrong information I wrote.

"Minimal freezing is in OVERLAY not YUV"

In my DVBV 4.1.1 there is no VMR Fix and no YUV Options when using -Overlay or -EVR

Its only availible in -VMR7 or -VMR9

So please check if the problems occur with different Renderer

try EVR, Overlay, VMR7 with VMR Fix, VMR7 with YUV, VMR7 without both, same with VMR9.

What is meant with minimal Freezing? For how long is the picture still? Or is it more a stuttering?

Maybe the Nvidia have 60hz adjusted instead of 50hz?

The correct word is " STUTTERING " you are right.

Evr renderer ; totally problematic.

Overlay ; very rare.

I will check again VMR7 and VMR9 with and/or yuv and VMR fix.

I check all of them again with reducing LCD TV refresh rate from 60 Hz to 50 Hz.

EVR = The worst

VMR7 and VMR9 with Yuv mode still has STUTTERING but comparing

with all other options Overlay and VMR7 and VMR9 with VMR fix is better.

And with what Signals is the problem?

Only SD-TV, HD-TV, DVD, mkv....? All togehter?

That there is no misunderstood. Your TV and your driver must run on sam Hz. Belonging to your Videosignal you should choose. Is your TVsignal 60hz choose it, is it 50Hz choose that for both.

Problem Solved

By using nvidia pure video decoder in SD channel with EVR renderer I got perfect image quality without stuttering

By using Arcsoft for HD channel with EVR it is quite good (not as much as Ati 780G with Cyberlink) and use HA.

Thanks to all.
