How to stop ungoing recording using a client?

I could not sort this out and could not find any any solution in the forums.

I use a remote server with recording service installed and running. I use a client connected via LAN to watch the stream (unicast) or to schedule recordings. Most of the time the scheduling is done via the web interface. Occasionally, I start recording using the client (all recordings are handled by the recording service installed in the server, so the recorded streams are all centralized in the server). I can stop the recording via the server or web interface. However, using the same client I cannot stop the recording (even though it is initiated by the same client). The "stop" button does not help, neither "stop" command under the blue button. This is a little bit frustrating since I run this remote client without any keyboard or mouse and it is handled via MCE 2005 remote.

Is there any way to send "stop recording" command to the server remotely using the IR commands? with many thanks.
