Minimum spec for dual cards

Hello to everyone,

 

I currently have an Hauppauge Nova-T-500 in an old PC and separately, an Hauppauge HD-S2 card in a new PC (HP DC7700sff, Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, 2.4GHz).

 

I'd like to consolidate the two and put the DVB card in the new PC as the HD-S2 card, they would be sharing the same PCI bus extender. Does anyone know if the Processor and PC spec is good enough for simultaneous HD and SD recording?

 

One other thing to mention is that I never ever use that PC for viewing, because I only connect to it by Remote Desktop. I always play the files back on another PC via network share. Is there a way to run DVBViewer in the background so it doesn't chew up horsepower on rendering the display?
