Using TransEdit to find DVB-T channels?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am a very newbie to DVBViewer :) Basically, I am trying to determine if the DVB-T card that comes with my computer can be controlled with DVBViewer so I downloaded TransEdit to see if it can detect my card. However, I don't know how to ask the program to scan the airwaves for DVB-T - only for satellite!

Apologies if this is a very silly question but how do I scan for DVB-T channels using TransEdit? (I know the signal I want is on PAL UHF ch 35).

Thanks in advance!

Assuming you are talking about TransEdit MMC Demo you have to:

• on the left panel, select a "Terrestrial (...)" predefined Trasponder List correspondent to your country/continent

• find out (Google is your friend) witch frequency correspond in your country to ch 35

• select on the right panel this frequency and click on "Scan selected"

• in the new window that appear, after the scan is completed, you can preview the founded channel double clicking on it

I gave it a try and after several attempts, found a mux listed :) However, when I click on Preview for any channel, I get the following error:

Zugriffsverletzung bei Adresse 004BFBE1 in Modul 'TransEdit.exe'. Lesen von Adresse 000002BC.

Is this a bug?

[Replying to self] - seems to be something of the sort as re-starting TransEdit did the trick and I can preview channels now.
