duja
Hi, I've just started to try out the new Recording Service and must thank you for bringing such a good feature to DVBViewer. It works like a charm while using my FireDTV tuner on the server and DVBViewer on the client in the livingroom Now im thinking about to add 2 tuners so that I get a total of 3 tuners on my server. The thing is that I only got one card from my provider. This means that 2 of the tuners doesn't have their own card (in my opinion they shouldn't need more then one card). How can I build my solution so that 3 tuners can share 1 card? Is it even possible? Cheers D Link to comment
Tjod
How can I build my solution so that 3 tuners can share 1 card? Is it even possible? No, it is not possible to send data from the DVBViewer to the CAM. Link to comment
duja
Not even with some kind of an external CAM that DVBViewer can use on all 3 tuners? Is it on the roadmap? / D Link to comment
duja
What about this •New: USB CI (Hauppauge/Terratec) support completely rewritten: does work now with every DVB device. Thanks @Terratec for their support.Activate it in the hardware options by first selecting the DVB device and then the external CI. This sounds like something I could use, a external CI? / D Link to comment
Lars_MQ
Yes you can, but is it bound to one device. Event if you could assign it dynamically to other devices only one device can use it at a time. Link to comment
duja
Would it be a possibilty to make the external CI shared over a few tuners and then let them use it one at a time? Or maybe you could use some kind of plugin to do that, does the Recording Service support the same plugins as DVBViewer does? / D Link to comment

duja
Okey, I tried that method but nothing happens with the plugin so I expect that it doesn't work. Is it possible to see some more info in the logfile instead of just 15.07.2009 17:31:16 Start App -----------------------------------15.07.2009 17:31:16 thread service started 15.07.2009 17:31:16 StartService start timer 15.07.2009 17:31:16 StartService create plugin list 15.07.2009 17:31:17 StartService loadchannellist 15.07.2009 17:31:17 TDVBDevice.InitDevice FireDTV BDA Tuner DVBT 15.07.2009 17:31:17 Device Check present 15.07.2009 17:31:17 CheckDevicespresent start 15.07.2009 17:31:17 DevicePath \\?\avc#digital_everywhere&firedtv_t#ci&typ_5&id_0#6212003500871200#{71985f48-1ca1-11d3-9cc8-00c04f7971e0}\{bb365890-165f-11d0-a195-0020afd156e4} 15.07.2009 17:31:17 loadsetup load vcr 15.07.2009 17:31:17 StartService load setup 15.07.2009 17:31:17 Recorderservice Enabled Would be nice to see if the plugin didn't work and all the plugins that got loaded successfully etc. Also, is there any plans to support multiple tuners with one CI module? / D Edited July 15, 2009 by duja Link to comment
