PerryM Posted July 15, 2009 Share Posted July 15, 2009 I am looking for some way to put my computer into standby whilst awaiting the next recording on the timer. I have DVBViewer Pro working well on Vista. I have installed Recording Service primarily because I understood that it would allow the computer to use 'Sleep' mode. It seems to function OK for recording but if I have a recording scheduled, it won't allow sleep mode to be entered. I am sure I have missed something obvious and I will kick myself when told, but can somebody give me a step by step guide? What exactly is 'Hibernate' mode that I see mentioned? As you may have gathered, I've only recently started to use Vista (with this HTPC) and I'm probably missing some fundamentals! Thanks for your understanding and go easy on an old fart!
