ToSa Posted July 29, 2009 Share Posted July 29, 2009 Hi, What is the best way to schedule recordings (and read existing recordings) programmatically from another PC? Setup: PC1 with Dvb Recording Service running, no user logged in and no DVBViewer running. PC2 running an app that should connect to PC1 and add a new recording timer to the Dvb Recording Service (neither Dvb Recording Service nor DVBViewer running on PC2). I just need directions on where to start. Forum search provided lot of hints regarding DVBViewer COm but nothing about directly "talking" to the Service without DVBViewer running. ToSa Posted July 29, 2009 Author Share Posted July 29, 2009 I finally found this in the german recording service subforum: "Der Recording Service hat keine COM Schnittstelle, nur der DVBViewer hat ein COM Interface. Der Recording Service hat eine Web service Schnittelle. Wenn die stabil ist, soll die auch mal veröffentlicht werden. " Is any documentation about the WebService available (no matter if it's stable, it's a BETA anyway :-) ) Link to comment
