Howto: UPnP streaming

Hey,

So I've installed the latest versions of following software:

DVBViewer Pro (4.2.1)

Web Interface (1.5)

DVBViewer Recording Service (1.5.0.25 Beta)

VLC (1.0.1)

I want to stream the channels to VLC (or other UPnP software). Now here starts my questions/problems, what do I need to start/configure to get UPnP streaming running and what URL should I enter into VLC?

1) What do I need to start in order to enable UPnP? DVBViewer.exe? HTTPServer.exe? svcoptions.exe?

2) When starting HTTPServer, should I keep the default DVBViewer/web or DVBViewer/SVCweb?

3) Where can I configure the uPnP URL? I've seen examples where http://192.168.0.1:7522/upnp/channelstream/0.ts is used, but how do I know which channel maps to which number and how do I get that URL? Cause I can't seem to get that URL working from VLC. ;)

4) In the svcoptions->Web/UPnP settings, what do I need for UPnP streaming? Enable web server? Choose correct interface? Streamserver port? UPnP AV server? Enable Popcorn Hour support? (I do not have a popcorn hour)

Sorry for all these questions but I really need some guidance to get this working and I'm pretty new to all this ;)

Any help appreciated, thanks!

Since when does VLC support UPnP?

1. neither. The recording service does it. You just need to set it up (right click on the tray icon -> configure).

2. What do you need the httpserver for?

3. You don't. Use the webinterface of the recording service and select direct streaming in the streaming window.

4. Yes, yes, yes, yes, no. See link in 1.
