support AES3?

Hello

i have dvb-c card and running windows 7 but i do have problem on 1 HD channel.

if i record it and watch it using VLC i get sound but using DVBViewer i don`t get any sound.

think this is a "new" codec due it don`t work on my dreambox 800HD either ;)

it is only this channel but kind of miss this channel,will it be support on AES3?

did not find any direck show filter either that support this.

Quite difficult. Please read what Donald Graft (a video/audio specialist) has written about it:

The specifications that are necessary for supporting it are not available for free. Additionally it seems to be difficult to find an AES3 DirectShow decoder. Google delivered some results that are pointing to Elecard/MainConcept, but that are commercial decoders that have to be purchased.

 

A bit expensive for just one cable channel, I'd say. However, I'll keep an eye on it... if there is a way to implement it with justifiable efforts I'll try.
