giucantone
Hi All, I have just bought and installed the latest version of DVBViewer, running on: - ASUS AS ROCK 330 ION - Windows 7 based (official release) - Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI - available MPEG2 video decoders: cyberlink PDVD9, NVIDIA, ffdshow, Arcsoft - available Video H.264 decoders: cyberlin PDVD8/9, ffdshow, divx, elecard, arcsoft. Installation and channels scan went all right. However: - watching SD channels, video is not fluid, immages freeze every couple of seconds, although image quality is very good. - watching HD channels, video is sglightly more fluid but images appear (covering about 3/4 of the screen) like a mosaic. I have tried all possible combinations of video renderers and deocoders. I have tried to watch the same channls using other softwares (like progdvb and dvddream) and there I do not have any problem. Could please anyone help? I can provide logs or screenshots if relevant. Thanks in adavnce! Quote Link to comment

WBMK
Hello, I have the same problem. I to think it is related to my video-card/DVBViewer renderer. My configuration: P4 2,8 Ghz 2 Gb ram Nvidia geforce FX5900 Terratec Cinergy C HD Windows 7 PowerDVD9 Nvidia purevideo CoreAVC FFdshow I tried numeroes combinations of renderer's (with or without the Nvidia-fix option) and sometimes i get a good picture. But then i restart the PC and video intermediately stops every second or so. This happens when i try to view a unencrypted DVB-C channel I also tried Beta 4.3.1.6, (with the custom renderer's) but allas.. it doesn't work Can anybody help me(us) TIA Quote Link to comment

Let's examine your tantrum a little more, as you gave me no right of reply, after you publically bagged me, and locked the thread, so I couldn't reply. So I post in a forum, with my setup, as asked, and stated that the the new version (to me) fixed nothing related to rendering, amazingly 4 other people did the same, and surprise surprise Lars attacks me.. What more information DO you want Lars? I've given you my setup, I've told you that the new version hasn't changed anything, I've posted in the right forum, I've asked Cinch to PM me if he wants further testing It's amazingly obvious now that you have some 'issues' with me, which I personally think are hilarious, do try to at least ACT professional, and put whatever problem you have with me behind you. ******************************************************************************** ********* Well stay confused, you obviously don't have any interesst to improve this stuff... angry.gif To be honest, I don't have use and time for people who obviously are not interessted in improving the program. If you're only in for the "it's new" thingy forget it and use the release version. Positive feedback does not need many informations and is of course welcome. Negative feedback is even more welcome, if it is productive and delivered with a way to reproduce the problems and fix them. A "are just as bad as before." will be ignored and only used as a reason for a ranting. devil.gif BTW Thread closed. USE the beta thread as you were asked.. ******************************************************* Quote Link to comment

mfunk
I have Asrock ion 330 BD working pretty good with windows 7 ultimate, dvbviever and terratec S7 USB sat receiver. First I had many problems trying different codecs etc (mostly shaggy picture and temporarily mosaic when picture changes fast) Now I use Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder (TerraTec) for mpeg2 and Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder for H.264 and EVR Vista Enhanged Video Renderer (experimental) as Video renderer. CPU Loads for full HD channels is about 35 - 45%. I increased the system memory from 2 Gb to 4Gb but it did not make any difference. When I tested different codecs some took all (100%) CPU power and the picture still freeses every second or so. Hope this helps to somebody. Have a nice day. Quote Link to comment
bonobo
Please compare this file to playback in DVBViewer and WMP (on ION Win7) Check that the movement of these captions is steady (the same as in WMP). Reply differences do you see? Edited May 10, 2010 by bonobo Quote Link to comment
