business101
I have been reading up about the problem, and I found that this problem could relate to the veto problem with xp Is there any way to solve this in upcoming versions? Link to comment

Moses
Of course you can't sleep your PC during a "recording". And from the recording-service point of view the "EPG Update Timer" is an ordinary recording. If I understood that timer correctly, you can just shedule a "internal task timer" with task "EPGUpdate Start" for a minute. Then the service will block the PC only for this minute but do the EPG Update completely anyway. But if you go into standby during the EPGUpdate it's interrupted of course and I think it's not restarted automatically on wake up. Link to comment
