Reccomendations please?

Hi Guys,

 

I currentley run a pinnacle pctv 400e usb dvb-s box. have never been able to get the remote working properly with DVBViewer.

Right now Im in two minds whether to buy a dreambox or to buy a decent remote and dvb-s2 sat card??

 

 

If i go the latter route, can you please advise me on a good sat card and a good known to be working great remote?

Are you in the UK? The Hauppauge Nova S2 PCI card is popular and the remote works. Couple of links to other forum members posts about how to set it up with downloadable config files

Hi Mate,

 

I'm British but I'm not in the UK, I'm in Spain.

Pointing a 1.9metre dish at Astra 2d (Sky UK) and an 80cm at Astra 19.2E.

Why do you ask? does the card not have a strong receiver?

I need a strong receiver here as the transponders are very weak here.

No - the Hauppauge has good sensitive reception. I was just going to reccommend a few places selling it that are less expensive than others - but if you're not in the UK then it doesn't matter. You can't go wrong with that card. I've had one for over 2 years and never had a problem with it.
