pkcahier
I tried the "auto split on channel data changes" but it does not seem to actually split anything... Is there any way to get auto-split on EPG program change? Of course ideally one would want overlapping splitting with a 5-10min buffer, but first things first, how to auto split on epg? Lars_MQ
but it does not seem to actually split anything... Well maybe because there are no channel data changes? Is there any way to get auto-split on EPG program change? No. The EPG is not reliable enough to use it for splitting. There are several ways to program timers so for each epg entry a timer is created (wildcard epg search). take a look at epg plus or the autorecord search of the recording service. pkcahier
No. The EPG is not reliable enough to use it for splitting. The EPG times can be quite reliable on some channels... At least in my experience some channels do follow their timings. I just meant auto-split based on EPG times. EDIT: oh and I did not mean an auto-record, since I actually quite often record programs on the fly while watching. EDIT2: even having the EPG info in a separate file could help... it's not always clear what program is airing. Edited June 28, 2010 by pkcahier Quote Link to comment
