tempelrider
Why not make a DVBViewer / Recording Service in a server version So we not should spend time getting them to run together. And we should still have the general DVBViewer to the client. Apologize for my bad English Quote Link to comment
Lars_MQ
What is a server version in your eyes? I think the recording service is a server for many things just now... Quote Link to comment
tempelrider
Perhaps I have misunderstood the use of the program. I have built a server with 4 tuners to record, watch movies and live television Is it necessary to use DVBViewer on server? Can I use Recording Service without DVBViewer? I have a client in another room, only to show bluray, and display live and Recorded television on the client, I install DVBViewer on it. Is it wrong? Could the DVBViewer menu for movies and recorded movies created a better experience approach so that anyone with a click came to the folder you have saved them? Are there any plugins? Gioxy
Hi tempelrider... Is it necessary to use DVBViewer on server? Yes, whithout it you can't install RS... Can I use Recording Service without DVBViewer? Of course... I have a client in another room... I install DVBViewer on it. Right... Could the DVBViewer menu for movies and recorded movies created a better experience approach so that anyone with a click came to the folder you have saved them? Yes: you can create one (or many...) centralized shared folder on the server and configure DVBViewer clients to point only to it (or only to a particular or to all of them...) using UNC path (eg. "\\192.168.0.1\Recordings"); please refer here and here for more details... Quote Link to comment
