uglyned
Hi, A bunch of broadcasters have just announced that something called Youview is coming. This was originally called Project Canvas. It seems to be a service that will be built into set top boxes here and will incorporate BBC iPlayer, ITV Player, 4 on demand and Demand 5 - all the online TV catchup services. The idea is that your EPG can now go backwards as well as forwards. So I can go and watch a programme from yesterday in my EPG. Anyway they seem to be making it available to all developers so thought I'd mention it here in case you haven't seen it. YouView Quote Link to comment

YouView Presumably it will be MHEG based so should work with the new MHEG support . Edited September 18, 2010 by dvbrewer Quote Link to comment
dvbrewer
Until it comes online maybe we could find some way to integrate nevermisstv into DVBViewer? Edited September 18, 2010 by dvbrewer Quote Link to comment
themaster1
Sounds interesting to me. I wanna know, since i'm not a u.k. resident and that i receive freesat (bbc, itv...), are these services free of charge and receivable outside u.k ? Quote Link to comment

This is basically the integration of the iPlayer type of viewer into the EPG. The delivery will be by internet, so if you are outside the UK, it is very unlikely that you will be able to get it. The system checks the location of the IP address and uses that to disable the feed to anywhere except the UK. Quote Link to comment
