4.5 rc1 (not really a bug)

hello, fresh xp install (for some test)

after a fresh 4.5 rc1 installation i cannot install the recording service (please check username/password)

 

waiting for a new version of the recording service with the new key format

is the recording service release done in few next days?

or better to install the old DVBViewer version for install it then re-upgrade to the 4.5rc1? thx

I have here with the newest Beta-Version from Recording Service and 4.5rc1 no problems. Did you use these version?

If you have a fresh installed windows and straightly install 4.5 RC (and never an older version) the old user credentials from 4.2.1 that RS needs are missing in registry as 4.5 uses a new key system. Latest RS beta still expects the old user credentials and doesn't know the new system. So it works if 4.2.1 is installed first with old user data and is upgraded to 4.5 RC but not if you start with 4.5 RC.

 

I expect that there will be a future RS version with new key system too which solves this. Until then it's necessary to install 4.2.1 first.
