horndrup Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 I have installed the new beta 1.6.5.1 and now I can't stream on port 3335, it worked before with the old versions. When I look in the svcdebug.log file I can see the command for VLC, it look like this : C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe -Idummy --no-sub-autodetect --verbose=0 --dummy-quiet --no-stats --sout-transcode-threads=2 "http://192.168.2.10:7522/transcode/channelstream/22.ts?id=192.168.2.2" :sout=#transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=1024,scale=1.00,acodec=mp2a,ab=128,channels=2}:http{mux=ts,dst=:3335/} When I execute the command in a command prompt nothing happens, but when I change the command to this : "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -Idummy --no-sub-autodetect --verbose=0 --dummy-quiet --no-stats --sout-transcode-threads=2 "http://192.168.2.10:7522/transcode/channelstream/22.ts?id=192.168.2.2" :sout=#transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=1024,scale=1.00,acodec=mp2a,ab=128,channels=2}:http{mux=ts,dst=:3335/} the stream works again. Is this a bug in the new beta ?
Lars_MQ Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 OK work around for now: in the service options program set the vlx.exe path and filename and after that manually enclose it in " this should work I think.
horndrup Posted September 29, 2010 Author Posted September 29, 2010 I tried that before I wrote the first post, but it did not work. The program removes the ". I also tried adding " in the service.xml file, but with the same result.
Lars_MQ Posted September 29, 2010 Posted September 29, 2010 sh*** OK I'm doing an small update tomorrow.
horndrup Posted October 1, 2010 Author Posted October 1, 2010 Do you have any date for the small update ?
Theloozzz Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 The stop streaming button does also not work in de webbased site. The VLC.exe is still in working in the background.
Lars_MQ Posted October 1, 2010 Posted October 1, 2010 Yes, some other problems were discovered and one of them was in the installer. We're testing it currently and hopefully tomorrow I'll upload the update.
horndrup Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 Sorry to say, but it dosen't seem to work. I have tried a complete uninstall of RS and DVBViewer, and then I installed RS 1.6.0.6 and DVBViewer 4.2.1 and then it worked again. The VLC version was 0.8.6i. After that I installed RS 1.6.5.2 and DVBViewer 4.5 RC2 and then the stream to port 3335 failed again. The svcdebug.log looks like this : 04.10.10 20:42:10.074 TUCCommandClient Release Hauppauge SMS1000 DVB-T Tuner 04.10.10 20:42:10.074 TUCCommandClient Destroy Hauppauge SMS1000 DVB-T Tuner 04.10.10 20:42:11.086 TUCCommandClient Destroyed Hauppauge SMS1000 DVB-T Tuner 04.10.10 20:42:11.086 Releasereference CmdClientDisconnect: 1 04.10.10 20:42:15.434 VLC "C:\Program Files (x86)\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -Idummy --no-sub-autodetect --verbose=0 --dummy-quiet --no-stats --sout-transcode-threads=2 "http://192.168.2.10:7522/transcode/channelstream/22.ts?id=192.168.2.2" :sout=#transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=3072,scale=1.00}:http{mux=ts,dst=:3335/} 04.10.10 20:42:16.367 VLC VLC media player 0.8.6i Janus 04.10.10 20:42:16.367 VLC [00000298] dummy interface: VLC media player - version 0.8.6h Janus - © 1996-2008 the VideoLAN team 04.10.10 20:42:16.367 VLC [00000298] dummy interface: 04.10.10 20:42:16.367 VLC Warning: if you can't access the GUI anymore, open a command-line window, go to the directory where you installed VLC and run "vlc -I wx" 04.10.10 20:42:16.367 VLC 04.10.10 20:42:16.367 VLC [00000298] dummy interface: using the dummy interface module... 04.10.10 20:42:16.490 VLC [00000312] main private error: no sout stream module matched "http" 04.10.10 20:42:16.491 VLC [00000309] stream_out_transcode private error: cannot create chain 04.10.10 20:42:16.491 VLC [00000308] main stream output error: stream chain failed for `transcode{vcodec=mp2v,vb=3072,scale=1.00}:http{mux=ts,dst=:3335/}' 04.10.10 20:42:16.491 VLC [00000307] main input error: cannot start stream output instance, aborting 04.10.10 20:42:16.698 VLC [00000294] main playlist: nothing to play
Lars_MQ Posted October 4, 2010 Posted October 4, 2010 use the current vlc as stated in the changelog.
horndrup Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 I have done that and the svcdebug.log don't have the error anymore, but stream is still gone. VLC 1.1.4 on the client computer can't play the stream.
horndrup Posted October 4, 2010 Author Posted October 4, 2010 (edited) great, but what about me. It works when I manually type the command in a command prompt. Edited October 4, 2010 by horndrup
inah Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 i have same problem streaming not working only direct connection working
Gioxy Posted October 5, 2010 Posted October 5, 2010 I can confirm that transcoding to port 3335 work like a charm also here (and what a incredibly fast channel change, many thanks Lars! ), also to an old SmartPhone HP HW6500... I've installed, on my RecordingService PC, the VLC 1.1.4 SelfExtracting Package, allowing it to delete all preferences and cache (...perhaps this is a needed trick...)
Bartel Posted October 16, 2010 Posted October 16, 2010 I got the same problem, with DVBViewer 4.5 and Recording Service 1.6.5.2 can't use transcoding on port 3335, direct streaming on 7522 works just perfect but not transcoding. I have tried to uninstall DVBViewer, Recording Service and VLC play, but with no luck. Is their any chance that we can have the old version back? cause this is really annoying.
horndrup Posted October 19, 2010 Author Posted October 19, 2010 I think there is a problem with the new version of RS 1.6.5.2. If I look in this tread and the treads below, I can see that others are having the same problem like me. Streaming to port 3335 dosent work anymore. If I downgrade to older versions it works again. I have reinstalled my computer. Installed DVBViewer 4.5 and then RS 1.6.5.2 and VLC 1.1.4. Direct streaming works but not to port 3335. I have also deactivated my firewall but with no success. http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/42873-older-version-of-recording-service/ http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/42732-vlc-not-play-in-web-interface/ http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/42844-streaming-funkt-nicht-mehr/
Lars_MQ Posted October 21, 2010 Posted October 21, 2010 No, sorry but it works for me Nobody could provide till now a reproduceable case for me and I don't know where to look, cause as I said it works here...
horndrup Posted October 21, 2010 Author Posted October 21, 2010 Have you tried a clean computer and then installed the programs in the way that I did. The strange thing is that it works with older versions. And it works when I type the command manually in a command prompt.
TVFreak Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 (edited) No, sorry but it works for me Nobody could provide till now a reproduceable case for me and I don't know where to look, cause as I said it works here... Okay, seams i had same problem. direkt streaming is okay, but nothing with VLC on Port 3335. so i tested little things. 1 start webinterface on htpc - okay 2 start direkt-streaming on htpc - okay 3 start streamin with vlc port 3335 on htpc - okay 4 start a second instance of vlc on htpc to show stream --- OKAY ------------ so the DVBViewer part is okay i think ----------------- 5 start VLC on Client to show stream - nothing 6 deactivate on both PC (htpc and client) the windows Firewall -- nothing so at the end i think streming is okay, but something on win7 blocked. don't no what else i can do to find out. Okay now it works. It was Windows Firewall. Edited October 22, 2010 by TVFreak
jhrdlicka Posted December 18, 2010 Posted December 18, 2010 Latest DVBVService_1.6.8 still doesn't play in web interface (firefox don't start straeam via embedded vlc plugin, starting extarnal stream with vlc.exe is ok)... ff:3.6.13, vlc:0.8.6f + 1.1.5 to no avail Downgrade to DVBVService_1.6.2.3 and to vlc 0.8.6f, then playing doesn't on my windows any problem. horndrup Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 Now I finally got it working to stream on port 3335. I have tried all the updates and non of them worked. I have checked the firewall and even disabled it but with no success. But then I tried to run the Recording Service with a different account instead of the "Local system account", and now its working. Is this a bug ?
Tjod Posted January 21, 2011 Posted January 21, 2011 Maybe some VLC Player files are in the VirtualStore from Windows and so only present for one user account.
horndrup Posted January 21, 2011 Author Posted January 21, 2011 I don't think that is the case. VLC are installed where there is no virtualstore. Before when I ran the Recording Service with the Local system account I could see in my taskmanager that VLC was running fine under the Administrator account ( the logged on user ), but there where no stream. But now when I also run the Recording service under the Administrator account it's working. If I install a older version of Recording Service ex. 1.6.2.3 the streaming workes fine the the Local System Account, so what has changed ?
masterburner Posted January 28, 2011 Posted January 28, 2011 (edited) Hi. I used the Port 3335 to but the Win7 firewall makes me crazy. Please tell me the settings to use the port over the firewall. when i open the firewall it works. Edited January 28, 2011 by masterburner
Thomas Posted January 31, 2011 Posted January 31, 2011 Hi. I've just tried with the newest viewer and RS and still it will not stream through port 3335. Firewall and so on are turned off on both computers. Hope for a solution soon as I'm going on holiday in one month.
Thomas Posted February 4, 2011 Posted February 4, 2011 Installed the new vlc 1.1.7 player on the server (had been running the old 0.8.6i) now everything is working.
Tottes Posted February 26, 2011 Posted February 26, 2011 (edited) Everything has been working nice until yesterday Norton internet security 2011 decided that DVBVservice.exe vas a threat and removed it to quarantine I restored it and everything looks ok but now i cant use webstream any more my svcdebug.log looks like this 26.02.11 11:32:08.105 AddReference webserver: 1 26.02.11 11:32:22.339 VLC "C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -Idummy --no-sub-autodetect --verbose=0 --dummy-quiet --no-stats --sout-transcode-threads=2 "http://192.168.1.72:7522/transcode/channelstream/1.ts?id=192.168.1.95" :sout=#transcode{vcodec=WMV2,vb=1024,scale=0.50,acodec=mp3,ab=96,channels=2}:http{mux=asf,dst=0.0.0.0:3335/} 26.02.11 11:32:53.214 ReleaseStandbyblock webserver 26.02.11 11:32:53.214 SetThreadExecutionState 0x80000000 26.02.11 11:32:53.214 Releasereference webserver: 0 26.02.11 11:32:56.402 SetStandbyblock webserver 26.02.11 11:32:56.402 SetThreadExecutionState 0x80000041 26.02.11 11:32:56.402 AddReference webserver: 1 26.02.11 11:33:26.464 ReleaseStandbyblock webserver 26.02.11 11:33:26.464 SetThreadExecutionState 0x80000000 26.02.11 11:33:26.464 Releasereference webserver: 0 I am using vlc 1.1.7 Edited February 26, 2011 by Tottes
bogdan1980 Posted November 1, 2011 Posted November 1, 2011 this post is awsome: http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/42476-stream-to-port-3335-not-working-in-new-beta/page__view__findpost__p__325863 The only way for me, with DVBViewer 4.9, and rec service 1.9.2 beta to watch embedded stream, or stream with 3335 port, it changing user account to my user, or to administrator, but not let it set to local system account.
