JoeH Posted October 27, 2010 Share Posted October 27, 2010 (edited) About once a week or so I have had a situation where the Recording Service does not record. It says it is Idle and all hardware is normal even though it should be recording. As soon as I stop and restart the service, the recording starts. I looked at the log and it said again and again that it was trying to initiate the hardware and that it could not do so. I am attaching a support.zip. Unfortunately I noticed that the log files are erased when the service is restarted. I did, however, restore the svcdebug.log file from a previous day. It was not while this problem was occuring, but you can still see it is struggling. I have never had this problem with the DVBViewer client. Edited October 27, 2010 by JoeH Link to comment
JoeH Posted October 27, 2010 Author Share Posted October 27, 2010 I just noticed in the support files that I had the hardware status as "normal" for the Client hardware and the Recording Service hardware. I'm going to assume that's the problem, and will just repost if the problem arises again with the hardware correctly configured. Thanks! Link to comment
