(Win7, SkyStar2 S2, DVBViewer 4.5) Similar situation for WinXp (DVBViewer 4.2 + TransEdit 3.6) Change driver BDA on WDM hasn't helped... The answer in a forum not found. Griga Posted October 29, 2010 Share Posted October 29, 2010 The SkyStar S2 doesn't support DiSEqC 1.2. The hardware could send such DiSEqC commands, but they are disabled by software. TechniSat wants it this way, because the power supply may be insufficient for a motor. The card and your mainboard may get damaged in this case. The source of the problem is a missing dynamic current limiting, making it risky to use this card with a motor. TechniSat has added the current limiting in the SkyStar USB HD (a kind of USB SkyStar S2), which is able to supply a motor with a maximum of 450 mA. If the motor needs more, the device will switch the power supply off. Quote Link to comment
