Start DVBviewer with no video and audio

Hey,

I was wondering if it's possible to have DVBViewer start up with no video and sound maybe with some commandline input or other setting? It may seem strange that I dont need video/sound but im using DVBViewer for teletext over an remote desktop connection, and I would prefer to limit amount of data over the remote desktop connection.

I know there's an option inside DVBViewer to disable video and audio, but that option is only available when I have started DVBViewer.

Can somebody help me with this?

DVBViewer.exe –x16386 -x35

You can use the action IDs from the actions.ini (DVBViewer folder) with the -x parameter.

Or take a look at the Web Interface 1.5 (Members Section) instate of using the remote desktop. It has teletext support as well. Maybe you need the Teletext Fonts (Members Section) on the client.

Actually, is it possible to have DVBViewer 'active' only when recording ?

I'd like to have DVBViewer running continuously, but only accessing/using

the dvb cards when recording a show.

It seems to me the current behaviour after a recording is to stay on

this channel and decode it, or at least the dvb usb card is still active

since it stays warm. I schedule my recordings with the web

interface, creating timers, and tick the disable audio/video checkbox.

If that's not possible, is it possible to start DVBViewer Pro automatically

with the timers ? In that case I could set the 'Quit DVBViewer' post-recording

action (and hopefully, if there are multiple recordings at the same time,

DVBViewer will stay alive).

Your help is much appreciated, regards,

Laurent

PS: This is with DVBViewer Pro 4.2, I did not yet upgrade to 4.5.

Man, you're asking for a lot! This would require two persistant scripts constantly monitoring and querying the DVBViewer COM and the RS WEB API for changing values. Too much of a hassle to accomplish, unless you dont wanna write it yourself. The Scripting Lounge is a good place to visit then. http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/forum/40-scripting-lounge-com-deen/

Well, that is not possible, cuz the recording timers in RS do not have any PRE-RECORDING TASK option, making it possible to launch DVBViewer automatically before recording begins. The 'Quit DVBViewer' post-recording action however is possible if you use a script as a task closing DVBViewer. Use it as an after recording task instead of a post-recording action.
