Simon82
I use Intervideo Directshow filter for video/audio, but with each new release their remains the same version with the same functionality. So I was thinking a strange thing: could I use Windvd player directly to see mpeg2 stream on the player instead of using DVBViewer with the filters? Maybe playing a "always-updated" file... If Windvd player play normally all the mpeg2 file recorded with DVBViewer there are no way to use it directly to see it in realtime? I was thinking this because I find always new function on windvd like progressive deinterlacer, 3DM technology ( ) ecc ecc.. Hi Quote Link to comment
Griga
could I use Windvd player directly to see mpeg2 stream on the player instead of using DVBViewer with the filters? Maybe playing a "always-updated" file... Playing MPG files while they are still recorded? Like the TSPlayer does? It is possible since the DVBViewer writes its files in a "Shared Mode", allowing other applications to access them, even when the file is not yet closed. However, these application have to open the file in the same shared mode for reading. If they use the normal mode, the access will be denied by Windows. In this case it won't work, and the only thing you can do is writing a mail to InterVideo and ask them to change it.... Quote Link to comment

In facts Windvd denied playing a mpg movie file while DVBViewer was recording, also with audio/video disabled. And building some strange trick to connect the ss2 stream to intervideo could be possible? If you see all the new functions on Windvd Platinum 6, you surely understand why this could be interesting. Griga
And building some strange trick to connect the ss2 stream to intervideo could be possible? Sure. But InterVideo has to do the trick... Quote Link to comment
