I am using Terratec Cinergy Pci S2 and DVB-C both in my HTPC.

When trying Transedit scan DVB-C give message "could not initialize dvb device...". I am using custom Transponderlist.

DVBViewer scan fine.

Terratec Pci DVB-C driver version: Cinergy_C_PCI_Drv_Setup_1.01.02.501_XP_Vista_7

When trying Transedit scan DVB-C give message "could not initialize dvb device...".

It's a known problem under Windows 7 with TransEdit 3.6, caused by the Microsoft Network Provider Filter. Launch TransEdit with administrator rights and take care that the device is used somehow. After that it will work without administrator rights.

Another possibility is to tick Settings -> Hardware -> Use internal Network Provider filter (which is recommendable if it works with your device), but it isn't a general solution, because the problem will re-appear if you untick the checkbox.
