bertie40
I suspect this has a really simple answer, but damned if I can understand this. I have purchased/installed the program, and the channel listing has given me 3 satellites. (Astra/Hotbird/Eurobird) The channel Listing box box not look like the one in the help file. Q. How do I add Thor at 4.8E ? I tried importing the transponder list from the Transponders directory, but nothing happens. (Using a motorised dish. Efforts to use Usals have failed (so far) so I am using my main receiver (Manhattan) to move it). I am able to receive channels on the Transponders mentioned above. Using a Technotrend with Win 7 64bit. Please help. Cheers. Quote Link to comment
Derrick
The channel list in the installation packet is provided by the developers. They can't receive all possible satellites on the clarke belt You either have to look for ready to use lists provided by other users or perform a channel scan using a corresponding transponder.ini. For the latter I recommend TransEdit. The result has to be exported to the DVBViewer. Quote Link to comment
bertie40
Ah. Right. Install Transedit. select the satellite Do a SCAN All Button "Export to File" Save the file to ie., your desktop Open DVBViewer Channel/Channel List/Channel Editor Button (bottom left hand corner) or Right click in the left pane "Import" Select your downloaded file as obtained above. Voila. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Derrick
..export to file is only necessary if you want to keep this scan for later use. Select all -> Add/Update will add all (new) channels to the DVBViewer's channnel list Quote Link to comment
bertie40
Thanks Guys. It was getting that extra satellite into the main DVBViewer program in the first place, that was my sticking point. Cheers Quote Link to comment
