Vellu
I'm not sure, if this is a bug in Win7 or DVBViewer, or misconfiguration in either or both, but I did not find any parameter, which would have made the difference. I have one AverTV Twinstar PCI-E, and one Nebula PCI-card. AverTV driver version is 1.3.0.76. Nebula BDA-driver version is 1.1.1.1. Both are latest versions. Mainboard model is Gigabyte MA785GM-US2H (AMD 785G + SB710 Chipset). I'm using the onboard video (ATI Radeon HD 4200), version 8.641.0.0. Previously I had DVBViewer 4.5 and Windows XP Pro. The audio was shut down, when DVBViewer was minimized. All recordings occurred in the background, no problem. Now I have Windows 7 Home Premium and latest DVBViewer Pro 4.6.0.1. When I minimized the DVBViewer window, I expected that the audio stream would get silent as well, but it did not. DVBViewer is minimized (as I don't want it to be shut down because of the recording service), but the audio of the previously tuned channel can still be heard. So e.g. making calls with Skype or watching videos with some other player isn't so comfortable. Of course I can change the volume to 0 before minimizing DVBViewer, but that's just a workaround. I really would expect to get no sound from TV, when DVBViewer gets minimized. (I would prefer that DVBViewer got minimized to system tray, when active window was closed, but that's another matter). It would seem to me that it's a fault of DVBViewer, however it can be something that's controlled by Windows 7. I don't know and I did not find any similar case from this forum. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon, Vellu support.zip Quote Link to comment
desweil
I guess its a Windows thing. You might want to take a look at the Recording Service (see wiki). It lets you record shows without the need for a running DVBViewer. It has some other features like streaming to DLNA and a webinterface and enhanced EPG search and auto timer things. Freezer
Or you could use EventGhost sending the "mute" command to DVBViewer automatically on minimize. Quote Link to comment

Vellu
Options > TV + Radio > Disable AV on minimise That's it!!! Thank you very much. It was somewhat cryptically said in Finnish version (AV-pois kun ohjelma on kuvakkeena tehtäväpalkissa = AV-off when program is as an icon in taskbar). I guess the English version is so perfect that it would be better without any translation Case closed. Quote Link to comment
