Can't get keyboard to function

Hi All

 

I just installed latest version of DVBViewer and for some reason I have lost some keyboard functions. I can't get the main OSD menu to come up when I press ESC (I have default settings selected in input menu). Oddly the EPG comes up when I press E and teletext when I press V but no other keys work.

 

Any ideas? I did a fresh install and using default skin. This all worked fine on 4.5.

Please can anyone help me with this issue? I have tried another basic USB keyboard and same problem. Keyboard works fine in any other application but in DVBViewer only the plus minus keys, and E and V keys work. ESC RETURN and arrow keys do nothing. I tried a virtual keyboard on my iPad using Mocha VNC but that didn't work either. I can access menus etc with my mouse but not really practical on my TV as menu options are too small - I really need the large format OSD.

Have upgraded PC to windows 7 (clean install) and reinstalled DVBViewer and am using USB keyboard only but still no joy with OSD.

when you go to the input options in DVBViewer and then try to learn a "new" key for example for OSD menu and press ESC does it recognise it as ESC?

No it doesn't recognise ESC when I try learn function. ESC works in other applications so thats not the issue.

When I press E for EPG DVBviwer shuts down entirely.

I might have found the issue. I go to input, click on LOAD and load the keyboard remote profile. Click apply and voila - keyboard works perfectly. But when I exit and then reopen DVBViewer it loses this setting and keyboard is non functional again.
