vramor
I use DVBViewer 4.5.0 under Win7x86 SP1 Pro to watch DVB-T and DVB-S TV with appropriate hardware. There was no problem until I installed K-Lite Codec Pack 7.5.0 instead of 7.2.0. After that I cannot run DVBViewer anymore (Windows says APPCRASH). I asked klcp-developers about this problem. What they answered me: "The fact that DVBViewer works with 720 and not with 750 does not mean that a component from pack is the cause of the crash. It can very well be a bug in DVBViewer that only occurs in specific situations. The module name in the appcrash says where the crash has occurred. In this case inside DVBViewer. If the crash occurred inside one of the codecs, the module name would indicate that. If the DVBViewer developers can reproduce the crash, then they can build a debug version to exactly pinpoint the code that crashes and possibly fix it." So I returned to old version klcp, but the question remained. Can anybody help with it? Thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment
Tjod
Install the current DVBViewer version. If you still have the problem pleas post a support.zip Quote Link to comment
vramor
I have installed the latest version of DVBViewer 4.8.1.0 (legally purchased of course for 15 Euro). There is the same problem on the PC with Windows 7 64-bit - KLCP-750 kills DVBViewer! The problem has disappeared on the PC with Windows 7 x86. But in this case I have installed KLCP 750+754 first, then installed DVBViewer 4.8.1.0. For Windows 7 64-bit there is no difference in which order I am installing software, DVBViewer doesn't work. So I leaved KLCP 720 with DVBViewer 4.8.1.0 on PC with Windows 7 64-bit and jacked up this job. Thank you. Quote Link to comment

vramor
Attachments include 4 support.zip files with selfexplained names. 01_720 - DVBViewer works fine with klcp-720 under Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit. 01_750 - DVBViewer doesn't work with klcp-750 under Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit. 01_754 - DVBViewer doesn't work with klcp-754 under Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit. 04_no_klcp - DVBViewer works fine without klcp under Windows 7 Pro SP1 64-bit. Besides, DVBViewer works fine with klcp-754 if ffdshow (ff_vfw.dll)is disabled. There no problem with any version KLCP under Windows 7 x86. support_01_720.zip support_02_750.zip support_03_754.zip support_04_no_klcp.zip Quote Link to comment
Tjod
I believe there is a problem with ffdshow Audio Decoder V1.1.3947. Install AC3Filter (32 bit) http://ac3filter.net/wiki/Download_AC3Filter and select it for AC3 and MP2 audio. http://en.DVBViewer.tv/wiki/Options_DirectX#MP2_Audio_Decoder: Quote Link to comment
vramor
I believe there is a problem with ffdshow Audio Decoder V1.1.3947. Install AC3Filter (32 bit) http://ac3filter.net/wiki/Download_AC3Filter and select it for AC3 and MP2 audio. And there is the same problem with ffdshow v1.1.3949.0? I think that more simple solution for 64-bit OS is to use KLCP-720 with ffdshow v1.1.3882. At least untill KLCP people will fix their bugs in KLCP-750/754. Quote Link to comment
kaesetorte1958
I use DVBViewer with KLCP on a Vista 32-Bit machine with two DVBS/S2 cards and since I installed KLCP 7.2.8 DVBViewer crashed up to 7.6.0 - 7.2.7 is the last working version on my pc without any changing - but so on, that`s not the point and that you`re waiting on. I did the following: Go to the programm directory of DVBViewer, klick the DVBViewer.exe right and - sorry, I can say it only in German: choose "Eigenschaften" second register card "Kompatibiltät" and click the checkbox "Programm im Kombatibiltätsmodus ausführen für Windows XP Servicepack 2" may be 3 also works but it's not tested by me. And then - surprise surprise - After this DVBViewer starts as usual!!! At this time I can't see any further problem. Quote Link to comment
vramor
I believe there is a problem with ffdshow Audio Decoder V1.1.3947. Install AC3Filter (32 bit) http://ac3filter.net/wiki/Download_AC3Filter and select it for AC3 and MP2 audio. http://en.DVBViewer.tv/wiki/Options_DirectX#MP2_Audio_Decoder: I refused to use KLCP at all. I found a rival decision and there is no problem with DVBViewer and other apps anymore. Quote Link to comment
antdude
I have no problems after uninstalling my old K-Lite Mega Codec Pack and installing the latest v7.7.0 with mostly defaults. CyberLink PowerDVD video and ffdshow's audio 2.1 (mixer disabled). Quote Link to comment
