Timer event title started including description again

Hi,

I downloaded and installed RS 1.9.2 on Monday.

Since then, timer events created by the autotimer task have started to include the description again. This looks untidy and makes it hard to read. It used to do this, then you fixed it. Now it's doing it again.

Is this a mistake or is it meant to be like this? Surely the timer event title should only include the title and not the description too?

Screenshot attached. Timers added before the upgrade just show a title. After the upgrade, description is in there too.

Change: Timer: The timer names are now generated from the EPG title + the first 50 chars of the EPG event.<li>Add: EPG Search: The auto timer search can check new timers additionally against existing timers.

It compares the automatically generated timer names against the new one. This only works for programs which do create a unique timer name The timer name is generated from the EPG title and the first 50 chars of the EPG event.

Before it was ignored if longer than 50 chars.

That's not an option anymore.

Hi uglyned!

What EPG source do you have? A bit strange your epg provider places the description in the subtitle/event field. Cant this be changed somehow with a possible EPG application?

The entries in the screenshot use the Freesat EPG (S) and Freeview EPG (T) in the UK. All handled by DVBViewer and recording service - I don't use any 3rd party tools for EPG. Can some kind of setting be added so UK Freeview and Freesat users can avoid having this description thing added?
