glyn1972
Hello, hopefully I'm not duplicating anything, but I notice today that some changes have been made to certain satellite BBC channels here in the UK, with some further updates to follow relating to the interactive channels. Full details can be found here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/bbcinternet/2011/09/red_button_dsat_astra.html Cheers, Glyn Quote Link to comment
steven627
Anyone got any idea which fequencies to scan? Since the BBC page yields nothing of any use what-so-ever, and I'd rather not spend an hour doing a full scan for 3 rarely used channels (BBC News is affected too). Griga
Use TransEdit 3.8 for a full scan (download from the members area, store TransEdit.exe it in the DVBViewer installation folder, where DVBViewer.exe is). Make sure that you are using an up-to-date transponder list for Astra 28° East (included in the TransEdit zip, must be stored in the DVBViewer configuration folder \ transponders subdirectory). After a full scan the Scanner Window shows which (new) channels are not contained in the DVBViewer channel list yet (white background). Click the name column title to sort the channels by name, so that it gets easier to find and check a particular channel. Additionally open the Dead Channels Window. It shows which channels in the DVBViewer channellist cannot be found anymore (due to a frequency change or whatever) and allows to delete them. This will give you an overview about what happened. steven627
Found the answer to my own question: DSat1 = 10773H DSat2 = 10802H DSat3 = ? DSat4 = 10847H DSat5 = 10788H DSat6 = 10817H DSat7 = 11953H Full details http://www.bbc.co.uk/reception/info/sat_frequencies.shtml Cheers Steven Quote Link to comment
Griga
I will append the known DSat numbers to the Astra 28° East transponder descriptions, so it gets easier next time... "BSkyB" for almost all of them is boring anyway Quote Link to comment
