buchman
Hi there, I've got a couple questions about recording teletext subtitles with DVBViewer. I've seen on the features of this software that it is able to store them, but still I don't see anything about this on the screenshots provided or in the manual. What I want is to record a tv program with subtitles on page 888 and be able to play it later (with the corresponding subtitles, of course). My questions are: 1) Is it possible to do this in a simple way or do subtitles need to be stored in a file and later reencoded together with the video... 2) How do I play it later? Using some software like BSplayer maybe? In that case is there any syncronization problem? Hope somebody can clarify it! Thanks. Quote Link to comment
Klausing
You can do this on the simple way. Use VRPlugin. And you can demux it with ProjectX. Quote Link to comment
Griga
Simply let the DVBViewer display the subtitles while recording as MPG. You'll get a an additional SUB file. When you play the MPG with the DVBViewer, and it finds the according SUB file, it will display the content. Edited September 9, 2004 by Griga Quote Link to comment

Griga
How about routing the ttx_es of the ts_file to the teletext decoder when playing back the ts? Well, the MS file sourcefilter doesn't support something like that. Neither does the Elecard Demuxer. It could be done in the TSPlayer, however, since it doesn't use the standard DirectShow file handling. Quote Link to comment
buchman
Thanks for your replies! It looks really simple. I'll give it a try. Quote Link to comment
