Stanem
Hi all, have a problem with my test of DVBViewer. Have a Technisat satellite card, Windows XP and a fairly fast computer. Trying with version 4.5 since 4.9 hangs the computer... The problem I have is that I can install everything OK and can watch the channels but when shifting from a HD-channel to a SD-channel I have to go to DirectX settings and untick the box "Use Customer Renderers", otherwise it just shows garbage. Have tried many different video settings but with no effect... any ideas what to do? Quote Link to comment
QBox User
Hanging is usually a codec issue. You need to change. What are you using for HD and SD? "Custom Renderers" are recommended in the Wiki for Vista and Windows 7. You could disable them and try "System Default", though the Wiki says "Overlay" is normally best for XP. This might not use hardware acceleration, but it won't matter if your PC is fast enough. Direct X Options Quote Link to comment
Benarty
Hardware acceleration is a matter of the mpeg decoder not the overlay mode. Stanem, please post a support.zip file. Quote Link to comment
