LAN Streaming - neverending story

Hi all,

please help me, or i will need to go to hospital.

I succesfully installed and configured Recording service on my Desktop PC. There is no problem to watch TV via DVBViewer on the same PC where the recording service is running. Web interface is also OK.

 

But if i want to watch TV on my notebook (wifi), i can see only a black screen in DVBViewer. Here on client side in the Unicast device configuration there is no autodetected streaming server. Firewall is disabled.

If i type http://192.168.1.2:8089 to Firefox, i can see web interface with no problems. But if i type 192.168.1.2 in Unicast config, TV is not available.

What can be wrong? I studied almost all the topics at the forum, but no way.

OK, i moved 1 step forward. On my notebook i am now able to autodetect streaming server. The problem was at Kerio Virtual Network adapter, i had to disable it.

But even if i click the name of the streaming server so that the parameters get fill in, i am still getting the black screen and no any TV picture.

What can i do for that? Very special thanks for those who can help me.

OK, i got it! I am done.

I had to make CHANNEL SEARCH. I can´t figure out, why this is not mentioned anywhere. On the machine, where the Record service is running, i did not need to re-scan channels, but on notebook client it was essential. Ufffff, i am happy i am done. I had nightmares from that.

Perhaps you could, in the client, tick Options-Recording Service-Download channel list on start.
