FYI: Success with new driver for Technisat Skystar 2

FYI: a success story that might be helpful to owners of Technisat Skystar 2:

 

I have been using the Technisat Skystar 2 for a number of years with the Technisat TE2 program.

 

Recently I updated to the DVBViewer pro program.

There was not driver with the pro version and installing the drivers manually did not work, son I had to install the old Technisat TE2 program as well.

But I still ran into difficulties:

The pro program would only record manually - but not with with EPG or with manual timesetting.

 

The ('accidental') solution was the new Technisat TE2 program: 'soft_deen_SkyStar12-TV_001'

Installing it solved the problem.

Removing it later made no difference, the pro program still worked.
