Windows 7 - Using two monitors

Recommended Posts

My PC has an ATI Radeon HD 5670 graphics adapter and I have two monitors attached to it.

One is 1600*1200 and the other is 1920*1080.

Using the Windows 7 facilities to spread the desktop across both screens does not work very well because they are a different shape.

Is it possible to have my normal desktop on the 1600*1200 screen and to direct the output from DVBViewer to the 1920*1080 screen?

What is the problem by running the DVBViewer on one screen in full screen mode?

I would like to be able to use my PC for other activities such as browsing the web whilst at the same time being able to see a TV programme. Hence I would like to be able to use the 1920*1080 for watching TV in full screen mode whilst at the same time being able to persue other activities in ther 1600*1200 screen.

Yup, just do it. Extend your desktop, move DVBv to the screen you want it on, double-click to open it to full screen, then move your mouse back to the other monitor and carry on. It works a treat! :)
