Recording Service 1.93 hangs stopping

I am trying to use V 1.93 of the Recording Service to stream to a variety of devices. On a number of occasions, I have used remote desktop either from Android or PC to control the PC running the service, and tried to restart the service after a hang (well actually a lack of response over the network). On logging into the PC, I find that the DVBViewer Recording Service is visible in the Services view, and its state is stuck (forever) at 'Stopping'. I have to reboot the PC to get any response - other applications seem unaffected. It's a shame, because this is a very convenient way to view the PC on my Android tablet, and the quality is excellent (although Flowplayer will insist on firing up in a small window, with no 'Full Screen' control - avoidable by opening in another tab in Opera Mobile, when it goes to full screen.

On a separate issue - any guidance on which ports to open in a firewalled router to access the recording service via the web interface would be really helpful!

PC is a core i7 Intel, with a Geforce 560TI and the latest nvidia drivers. I am suspicious of the cheap USB tuner I am using - however it works very reliably with BDA drivers under DVBViewer.

But a great piece of code - not quite so complementary about the English documentation...

Hi, the Webserverport (to be opened and forwarded to the pc running the service) is 8089 by default but configurable via the respective Item accessible by rightclicking the service tray icon - should also be visible in the adressline of your browser when accessing the page.

Regarding your reboots - a less brutal and much faster way should be to kill the process in the taskmanager and then restart it via tray icon menu - though of course thats no satisfying situation but probably caused by communication problems between the service and the upnp client.

Sorry - I thought I had uploaded the support file.

It appears that the support.zip file is 833kbytes, and my global upload quota is 505k bytes...

Just checked - it appears that one of the files in the zip, svcdebug.log is over 20Mbytes

I have deleted that file and attach the remaining content

???
