majstang Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 (edited) Hi! I do wondering about a thing i've encountered. When using the RS Recording Editor with "Update Info File" checked one can notice the editor always changes the created date in the info file to "Created=30.12.1899". It is the text inside file that is concerned not to be confused with created date for the actual file. Wouldn't that necessary be a source for errors further down the road in the recordings database/recording history database? If not, keeping the created date unaltered serves an informational function at least, compared to the nonsense date the editor creates now. Maybe it has a purpose im not aware of? Lars_MQ Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 BTW. the value is not really used, only for user info. So no real harm is done by resetting the value to 0 (=30.12.1899). But anyway, it's fixed now.
majstang Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 Thanks, that is good to know, since having edited quite a lot of info files recently and thus there is no reason to change the created date back to the original one
