Kevin Steggles
I've been using DVBViewer for years now, but always with a satellite tuner card. I've recently moved and now need to use it with a DVB-T signal. I have a Hauppauge WinTV DVB-T card installed in my HP desktop, but when I go to carry out a channel scan, it always says "No Hardware Available!". I've searched online and on this forum and can't find anything which has helped. Anyone got any good ideas? support.zip Quote Link to comment
Joshua06
Update your DVBViever, (ver.4.9.6.11 member area), older versions are not supported Quote Link to comment
Kevin Steggles
Updated, but same problem! support.zip EDIT - shows version 4.9.6.11 in the "about" section anyway. Edited April 27, 2012 by Kevin Steggles Quote Link to comment
Tjod
Options > Hardware > Scan Devices and then poste a new support.zip from the current version ant not again from the 4.8.1.0 Quote Link to comment
Kevin Steggles
Sorry, this sort of stuff just isn't obvious to me. support.zip I've done that and it's still saying I'm using version 4.8.1.0, or looks like it is to me. But when I look at the "about" section via help, it shows I am using version 4.9.6.11! Edited April 28, 2012 by Kevin Steggles Quote Link to comment
Tjod
Do you have more the one then one DVBViewer installations on your system? Are you running the supporttool.exe in C:\Program Files\DVBViewer\ ? If yes remove all DVBViewer related files from C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\VirtualStore Quote Link to comment
Kevin Steggles
There was also DVBViewer TE (or something like that) which I've removed, and yes, the support tool is running from the correct folder. I've also removed the files you mentioned in the virtual store folder. Here's a new support file. support.zip Quote Link to comment
Tjod
Pleas start the DVBViewer via start menu > programs > DVBViewer > Support > DVBViewer Pro (Debug Mode) and then try a Terrestrial channel scan. If it doesn't work post a new support.zip maybe the debug.log gives more informations. Quote Link to comment
Kevin Steggles
Thanks, but I tried tuning with Windows Media Centre and it seems my weak signal combined with a mediocre tuner doesn't work very well. I'm having a multiswitch put in my attic so I can have a satellite feed fed down the cable and then I can use DVBViewer in conjunction with my satellite dish, which I know works just fine.
