digitl Posted May 28, 2012 Share Posted May 28, 2012 I've been switching between BBC News and Sky News during the day but Sky News has suddenly stopped working. If I click on the channel list to load it the channel I was on freezes, '3351 Sky News' appears in the bottom left corner of the window and a * briefly appears next to it. The picture can remain frozen, or turn completely black. Anyone any idea on what might have occurred? Quote Link to comment

Lakeuk Posted May 30, 2012 Share Posted May 30, 2012 I've have a similar random problem with Sky News and CNN where it tends to be only viewable with DVBViewer early in the morning while it's still viewable from the same LNB to an external Freesat decoder and an old sky decoder box. I've never got to the bottom of this but only seems to happen on channels which had a Tone of 22Khz and a LOF of 10600 where as all my rock solid channels have Tone set to None and a LOF of 9600. I've guessed that it's a hardware issue with my Pinnacle 7010ix card as I also have TechniSat Skystar 2 I've found to be more reliable, sadly Pinnacle gave up on updates to their cards Quote Link to comment
