stevef2
Recently DVB closes frequently (3-4 occasions per hour) and a notification states that this was actioned by Data Execution Protection. This seems to occur mostly when viewing HD channels. I have not been able to disable DEP for this trusted program. Any help would be much appreciated. support.zip Quote Link to comment
highyield
When it crashes, pay attention to the crash info (click "View program details" in the crash dialog), you're interested in the "Fault module name". http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Change-Data-Execution-Prevention-settings Quote Link to comment
stevef2
Thank you for your response highyield. Can you tell me please where to find the crash info - I'm unable to find it. Also thanks for the link you provided - I have previously followed these instructions, but DEP cannot be turned off for this program. Quote Link to comment
highyield
In the "DVBViewer has stopped working" crash dialog you'll find the "View problem details" link. Disabling DEP is not really a fix, especially for modern applications such as DVBViewer. Edited September 2, 2012 by highyield Quote Link to comment
