JanoHak
I would like play live streem from dreambox (enigma2)DM800SE using Raspberry / XBMC and DVBViewer. Is it possible? DVBViewer could be install to XBMC player. I did not found dreambox on devices list. Is there some HowTo for XBMC / Dreambox solution? Thanks Quote Link to comment
Tjod
You would need a Hauppauge HD PVR to get the signal from the DM800SE into the Windows PC with the Recording Service on it. http://www.DVBViewer.tv/forum/topic/46369-hauppauge-hd-pvr/ http://en.DVBViewer.tv/wiki/Category:DVBViewer_Recording_Service Than you need someone to ports "DVBViewer Recording Service PVR" to ARM (Raspberry Pi) an at lest MPEG2 licence (without it MPEG2 decoding will not work. But im not sure if it works with it). http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=140645 http://www.raspberrypi.com/ But over all, I think this is not a good solution. Because if you like to watch TV you need a DM800SE and a Hauppauge HD PVR and a Windows PC and a Raspberry Pi. Better solution connect the DM800SE to the monitor or by a TV card an put it in a PC and connect the PC to the monitor. Quote Link to comment
JanoHak
Looks a bit complicated :-( Raspberry / XBMC working with licence fine. It is easy to play video from internet as well as recorded files from dreambox HDD in .ts format or files from NAS. Why I need PC in the middle? Should be possible to go directly! Now I am thinking about chance to play HDD permanent timeshift file from dreambox. Crazy, but IDEA :-)) My project is about to connect second other room TV by WiFi only without cabling. It is real now and rest problem is live TV program it does not matter if same for both TVs. Quote Link to comment
Tjod
Why I need PC in the middle?Because DVBViewer and Recording Service are only working on Windows. If you are looking for a solution without DVBViewer (RS), you should ask in a dreambox or XBMC forum. Maybe there are other solutions. Quote Link to comment

playboy
Quote Link to comment
